Lee Stevens joins Vibrant Communities Calgary
Community & Engagement Specialist
We are pleased to announce that Lee Stevens has joined the Vibrant Communities Calgary staff team as a Community & Engagement Specialist.
Lee is a member of the Carcross Tagish First Nation and grew up in Turner Valley, AB. She has 10 years of experience working with Calgarians living in poverty. Her work began at the Calgary Drop In Centre as a case manager for the Key Case Management Housing Program at CUPS. Later, Lee worked as Program Manager for the housing program and more recently, while completing her Masters of Social Work (MSW), developed a financial capability program at CUPS. During this time she became involved with the Enough for All poverty reduction strategy and began to research and explore the root causes of poverty. As an Indigenous person, she focused much of her study on Indigenous issues and reconciliation strategies. Lee comes to Vibrant Communities Calgary with an awareness of the systemic inequalities affecting Indigenous people and people living in poverty. Lee has a passion and desire to make a difference as part of the team that is guiding the implementation of Enough for All.
